Hi, I’m Kelly—Registered Nurse, IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), pediatric sleep consultant, and mom of two, based in Granite Bay, California. I’m the founder of Kelly Beckham – The Mama Coach, a private practice dedicated to supporting families through the critical transition into parenthood, with a focus on feeding and sleep.
For nearly two decades, I’ve worked as a registered nurse in labor & delivery and women’s health, caring for families from pregnancy through the early months of life. Along the way, I saw how deeply feeding and sleep impact not just babies—but the emotional wellbeing of parents. These two areas are often the most stressful parts of early parenthood, especially when families are left trying to figure things out on their own.
What made this work deeply personal for me is my own experience becoming a mother. Despite my medical background, I struggled with anxiety in pregnancy, painful breastfeeding, a baby labeled “colicky,” and exhausting sleep challenges. What made those moments even harder was not having someone with real clinical knowledge and firsthand experience to guide me through the thick of it. I was constantly second-guessing myself and wondering if I was doing everything wrong.
That experience shaped everything I do now.
As an RN, IBCLC, and pediatric sleep consultant, I help families build strong feeding foundations and sustainable sleep in a way that feels realistic, supportive, and individualized. My approach is evidence-based, developmentally appropriate, and rooted in compassion—because I know how overwhelming this season can feel without clear guidance.
I believe feeding and sleep are so much less stressful when families are set up for success from the beginning, rather than picking up the pieces later. My goal is to bridge the gap between hospital care and real life at home—offering practical tools, reassurance, and a customized plans so parents feel confident instead of overwhelmed.
